Macam-macam tenses PRESENT

Tenses
    A. Present
Present terdiri dari 4 tenses yaitu :
     1.Present Tense
     2.Present Continuous Tense
     3.Present Perfect Tense
     4.Present Perfect Continuous Tense

1.Present Tense
Rumus : 1.Verb 1 (kata kerja bentuk pertama)
                2.Verb 1 + s/es
                3.To be : is,am,are

Keterangan waktu :  - every ...
                                     - semua adverbs of frequency (always,frequently/often,usually/generally,sometimes/occationally,seldom/rarely/hardly ever,never)


   Present Tense digunakan untuk :
a.Menyatakan suatu peristiwa yang terjadi berulang kali atau merupakan suatu kebiasaan (habit).
Example: - I leave for school at 6.15 every morning.
                 - Mother cooks nice food every friday.
                 - She studies English twice a week.
b.Menyatakan suatu fakta (fact) atau suatu kebenaran umum (general truth).
Example: - The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
                 - Cows give milk and sheep give wool.
                 - Vegetarians don't eat meat and fish
c.Menyatakan sesuatu yang akan terjadi di waktu yang akan datang,misalnya jadwal,program, dll.
Example: - The last train leaves at 5.50 pm.
                 -  The art exhibition opens at 10 o'clock.
                 -  Tomorrow is sunday.


2.Present Continuous Tense
Rumus :   to be (is,am,are) + verb 1 ing
Keterangan waktu :   - now
                                      - at the moment
                                      - at present
                                      - still

Digunakan untuk:
a. Menyatakan suatu peristiwa yang sedang terjadi pada saat kalimat diucapkan.
Example: - My sister is playing with her dolls.
                 -  Listen! The neighbours are quarelling again
                 -  I am preparing lunch for you.

b.Menyatakan suatu peristiwa yang sedang terjadi dalam periode ini.
Example: - We are living at my sister's house at the moment.

C.Menyatakan suatu peristiwa yang akan terjadi di waktu yang akan datang dan telah direncanakan atau ditentukan sebelumnya
Example: - I am inviting Tyas to the party on friday


3.present Perfect Tense
Rumus:   have/has + verb 3

Keterangan waktu : -  since......
                                    -  for........
                                    -  already
                                    -  yet
                                    -  ever/never
                                    -  so far
                                    -  before
                                    -  after
                                    -  up till now
                                    -  just/just now
                                    -  recently/lately/these days

Digunakan untuk:
a.Menyatakan peristiwa yang terjadu di waktu lampau dan masih berlangsung sampai sekarang/ masih ada hubungannya dengan sekarang.
Example : - My brother has got married.
                  - he has worked for this company for three years.
       
b.Menyatakan suatu peristiwa yang terjadi di waktu lampau tetapi waktu tepatnya tidak diketahui.
Example :  - I have losy my handphone.
                   -  The girl has forgotten his promise.

4.Present Perfect Continuous Tense
Rumus:    have/has been + verb 1 + ing
Keterangan waktu:  - for......
                                   -  since.......
                                   -  all.......

Digunakan untuk:
Menyatakan suatu peristiwa yang terjadi di waktu lampau dan masih berlangsung/masih ada hubungannya dengan sekarang dan berlangsung terus-menerus.
Example : - It has been raining all night long.
                   - She has been waiting for her boyfriend since this morning.
